Welcome to the Pasquale Deon Lodge #2687 Order
of Sons of Italy website!
Our History
In June 2009 the La Famiglia Lodge formally changed its name to the Pasquale Deon Lodge to honor
one of our founders, Pasquale Deon, who passed away in August 2008.
The Lodge was chartered in January 1995 by Robert Messa, current National President of OSIA and Justice
Frank J. Montemuro, Jr., former National President, to fill a gap for Americans of Italian heritage in the Lower Bucks County,
Pennsylvania area.
Since our beginning, the membership of the Lodge has actively been promoting the positive image of
Italian Americans.
The Order Sons of Italy in America (OSIA) is the oldest and largest organization of Americans
of Italian heritage in the North American Continent. Founded in New York City by Dr. Vincent Sellaro in 1905, the organization
now represents 23 million men and women of Italian descent.
On April 27,1913, the Pennsylvania Grand Lodge was the third State Lodge to be Chartered by OSIA. Over
470 local lodges and 50 junior lodges were eventually organized, making Pennsylvania the largest State Lodge.
